Success Stories

“I have a gentleman
that was in need of
furniture and was
given a referral to
LOVE INC. The referral
was given 5/20/09 and
due to the fact that he
is a CCI client, his
referral was processed
in 3 weeks and items
were scheduled to be
received on the week
of June 20th.
Normally there is a
minimal 6 week
waiting period at least.
In addition, my client
attended a finance
class presented by
LOVE INC. and has
signed up for the six
week session. The
client stated that he
feels more HOPEFUL
knowing that he has
SUPPORT.”

In 2008, CREW, Inc. received a $40,000 Basic Human
Needs Award from The Lake County Community Foundation.
Through this funding and support, CREW is implementing a
collaboration project with 25 voluntary participants during a
one-year period.  These are individuals seeking services
from Zion and Benton Townships, CREW, Inc., LOVE INC
and Zion Benton Workforce Development Training Center.
The individuals participating in the project give permission for
their information to be shared in the MPOWR application and
are able to customize what details are disclosed.   Additional

The Lake County Community Foundation, an affiliate of The

the foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $1
million to 55 Lake County not-for-profit organizations. Learn
