PEC
(Partners for an Enriched Community)

In April of 2004, through the work of Community Resources for Education and Wellness, Inc. (CREW, INC.), Partners for an Enriched Community (PEC) was created. The initial step was to begin building relationships with individuals working for the many organizations whose mission is to improve the quality of life for our residents. On a monthly basis, over 30 organizations have come together to discuss what can be done to move our communities ahead. Three distinct task forces were created to address different areas of need: Workforce Development, Community Learning and Health and Human Services. The groups are working to establish an Employment Center, Career Clothing Closet, Babysitting Center, relocate Substance Abuse Counseling Services, establish community meeting rooms and create and fund a Life Coach position whereby residents can meet with a professional who will assist them in creating a plan to help them overcome obstacles and become successful.

PEC meets the second Wednesday of each month from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. There is a yearly membership fee of $75.00 to cover the cost
of lunch.
